Job Title
Instrument Pipefitter (Fixed-term contract with potential for long-term extension)

- Project: P66 E&I
- Location: Immingham
- Duration: 12 months
- Start Date: 20/07/26
- Rate: £23.25 per hour (basic)
About the Role
We are recruiting a highly motivated Instrument Pipefitter to join our E&I Projects Team at the P66 Humber Refinery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
You will:
- Understand and follow process instrumentation diagrams (PIDs), instrument layout diagrams, hook-up diagrams, and isometric drawings.
- Install instrumentation, valving, pipework, and supports in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practice.
- Perform hands-on work including:
- Cutting, bending, and threading fractional and metric stainless steel, carbon steel, and copper tube.
- Assembling compression fittings (single and twin ferrule).
- Managing pneumatic and hydraulic components, tubing, and fittings.
- Engaging in installation, maintenance, modification, and testing of these components.

Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Adhere to all safety rules, company policies, and project procedures at all times.
- Carry out work in line with vocational training, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
- Report near misses, dangerous occurrences, and safety issues to line managers.
- Strictly follow work packs/job cards, drawings, and company procedures to ensure high-quality output.
- Maintain accurate ‘As Built’ documentation for completed work scopes.
- Complete site-based training to qualify as a nominated person (NP) for permits.
- Support the development of Risk Assessments (RA) to ensure a safe and controlled work environment.
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications & Certifications
All candidates must possess:
- Current CCNSG Safety Passport
- Proof of an apprenticeship (indentures, etc.)
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (SVQ, C&G L3 / JIB certification)
- ECITB SBT or equivalent (covering TSBT01 & 02, Swagelok, Waverley Brownall)
