Job Description
We’re looking for a commercially driven Sales Representative to help grow Insulation Wholesale by managing inbound enquiries effectively while actively generating new business through outbound sales activity.
This is not a passive customer service role, and it is not suited to someone who wants to sit behind emails all day. We need someone who is confident on the phone, commercially aware, numerically capable, and motivated by ownership and performance. The right person will take responsibility for enquiries from first contact through to outcome while proactively identifying opportunities, reactivating old customers, and helping drive store revenue.
You will initially work closely with the Head of Store, with the goal of becoming fully independent and trusted to confidently manage the day-to-day sales operation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Inbound Sales
- Responding to enquiries via phone, email, and live chat
- Preparing quotes accurately and efficiently
- Calculating insulation quantities from customer measurements
- Managing margins and pricing correctly
- Following up on quotations proactively and consistently
- Handling pricing objections confidently
- Resolving customer issues directly and professionally
- Taking ownership of enquiries through to outcome

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
