Insurance & Claims Officer – Full Time (Fixed Term for up to 18 months)

About the Role

Do you thrive on solving problems, supporting people, and carrying out investigations? If so, we'd love to meet you.

We are looking for proactive and detail-driven Insurance & Claims Officers to join our team. This is more than just a desk-based role—it’s about protecting our business and delivering outstanding support when it's needed most.

Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will:

  • Take ownership of your own claims caseload, covering motor, property, and public liability cases;
  • Conduct investigations, assess liability, and recommend solutions;
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the council to resolve complex claims.

The role offers a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to improving processes and efficiencies for the whole organisation.

Working directly with the Principal Insurance & Claims Officer, you will also:

  • Be involved in reviewing and assessing the council’s insurance provision;
  • Assist in the annual insurance renewal process.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
