Customer-Focused Insurance Broker Role
About the Role RP Lovatt, part of the JMG Group, is a trusted high street insurance broker offering personal and commercial insurance solutions to local customers. We specialise in providing a friendly, personal service and building lasting relationships within our community.
We are now looking for an organised and customer-focused Insurance Broker to join our supportive team. While previous insurance experience is advantageous, we welcome candidates with strong backgrounds in administration and customer service who wish to begin a career in insurance.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a welcoming environment where exceptional customer service remains our priority.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting personal and commercial insurance customers with their enquiries
- Handling day-to-day policy administration with accuracy and efficiency
- Using our broking systems to update records, process information, and manage insurance documentation
- Preparing customer files and maintaining electronic records
- Issuing quotations, documentation, and correspondence
- Taking payments for insurance policies over the telephone
- Managing incoming calls and directing enquiries appropriately
- Welcoming customers into the office and assisting with front desk enquiries
- Providing general administrative support to the team

Requirements
We prefer candidates with:
- Previous experience within the insurance sector
- Familiarity with the Acturis broking system (advantageous, but not mandatory)
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Confident and professional communication skills for both phone and face-to-face interactions
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- A personable, customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team
