Insurance Consultant

Salary: Starting from £35,000.00 (depending on experience) plus bonus potential Working hours: 35 hours per week Duration: Permanent Location: Totnes (with remote flexibility vs. monthly office requirement)


About the Role

We, Naturesave Insurance (part of the Benefact Group), are seeking an Insurance Consultant to join our Totnes office.

*Note: Whilst we are open to remote arrangements, standard office attendance is required at least once a month. Further details are clarified at interview.

  • Achieve commercial insurance sales targets via consultative relationship management.
  • Deliver expert client advice to both new and existing commercial insurance clients, identifying opportunities to maximise business potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough insurance reviews, assess client needs, and recommend tailored products for new/existing customers.
  • Drive business growth by meeting targets for new business, retention, service KPIs, and workflow standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical expertise to manage complex cases and referrals—learning evolving products, market trends, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Hit performance objectives by consistently meeting individual KPIs and contributing to team goals.
  • Process and manage claims by adhering to underwriting authority levels, ensuring prompt settlements, and transparent client communication.

Essential Requirements

✔️ Proven experience in the commercial insurance industry. ✔️ Ability to build rapport via phone for a superior client experience. ✔️ Creative problem-solving to enhance service, quality, and efficiency across the team. ✔️ Compliance-strength expertise within a regulated, client-focused environment. ✔️ Organisational drive—resourceful, deadline-conscious, and supportive of wider team goals.

💡 Preferred skill: Holding—or commitment to pursuing— :the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate in Insurance.
