About Bolt

Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.

From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.

And we're just getting started.

Why join Bolt?

  • Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.
  • Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.
  • Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.
  • Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.

About The Role

We are looking for an Insurance Lead who will take ownership of Bolt’s Rentals insurance portfolio (Bolt Drive and Micromobility), while also contributing to group-wide insurance strategy and programmes.

You will lead performance reviews, oversee claims and MTPL outcomes, and work closely with teams across Operations, Finance, Legal, and Product to strengthen Bolt’s insurance performance and impact.

Are you ready to take the lead on high-impact insurance programmes across multiple countries? Join us!

This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in Bolt’s Insurance team while owning the Rentals portfolio. You will partner closely with the Bolt Drive and Micromobility teams, ensuring the right insurance structures, smooth day-to-day processes, and transparent performance oversight across multiple markets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will support broader insurance initiatives across Bolt, contribute to key renewals, and help evolve the way insurance supports growth and risk across the business.

You will report to the Head of Insurance and collaborate daily with Operations, Claims, Finance, Legal, and external brokers and insurers.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Lead the insurance portfolio for Bolt Drive as the primary vertical, with additional oversight across Micromobility insurance programmes.
  • Run regular claims reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and insurer/broker meetings to monitor and improve performance.
  • Monitor MTPL and other insurance metrics, identify trends, and work cross-functionally to reduce loss costs and operational risk.
  • Support group-wide insurance initiatives, including renewals, broker management, data improvements and cross-vertical projects.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Legal, Product and Claims to align insurance structures with business needs across multiple markets.
  • Support country expansions and new product initiatives by coordinating relevant insurance requirements and solutions.

About You

  • Strong professional background within an insurer, broker or MGA, with robust technical knowledge of motor insurance and MTPL.
  • Experience working with multi-country or pan-European insurance programmes, ideally including FoS arrangements.
  • Confident in leading structured external and internal meetings such as claims reviews and QBRs.
  • Able to collaborate effectively across operational, financial and legal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret insurance data and drive improvements.
  • High attention to detail and capable of managing multiple markets and priorities simultaneously.
