About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive, collaborative, and results-driven candidate to fill a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) as Senior Associate in our Market Oversight team. This opportunity will enable you to play a pivotal role in strengthening the governance framework that supports Lloyd’s insurance market oversight.
You’ll be the driving force behind operational excellence, ensuring seamless processes, tools, and collaboration across teams to deliver consistency, efficiency, and high-level decision-making. Whether it’s process optimisation, cross-functional leadership, or stakeholder engagement, you’ll have a direct impact on shaping how Lloyd’s supports a durable and responsible risk-sharing marketplace.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be at the heart of fair, transparent, and effective market governance. Key activities and responsibilities include:

Supporting key governance forums:
- Executive-level Business Opportunities Committee (BOC)
- Capital Planning Group (CPG)
- Market Oversight Group (MOG)

Coordination, planning, and delivery:
- Lead end-to-end operational delivery, from scheduling and planning to outputs and follow-up action.
- Ensure complex initiatives are executed on time, on strategy and with precision.

Operational excellence:
- Build and improve processes, tools, and ways of working to make them smarter, simpler and more consistent.
- Continuously identify and embrace opportunities for improvement, with a focus on efficiency, transparency and decision-making agility.

Cross-functional collaboration:
- Work closely with teams across Market Oversight, Market Performance, Commercial, Finance, Risk, Data, and Technology.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of oversight topics to ensure governance outputs are accurate, relevant, and aligned with objectives.

- Act as a trusted point of contact across the business, engaging senior stakeholders at all levels effectively.
- Foster collaboration and ensure governance outcomes remain strong, best-practice and regulation-compliant.

- Leverage data and business insights to support decision-making and reporting.
Requirements
We’re passionately looking for someone who enjoys solving tough problems and who can thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. You’ll bring the following:

Leadership in operations and administration:
- Strong organisation and project coordination skills, adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience overseeing complex processes, ensuring clarity and alignment.

Cross-functional skills:
- Matrix leadership experience—comfortable working across functions and consensus-building.
- The ability to influence stakeholders of all levels.

Relevant background in insurance or risk-sharing markets.
- Familiarity with Lloyd’s, and preferably awareness of its market oversight and governance frameworks, would be helpful.

Operational improvement mindset:
- A keenness for continuous development and iterative refinement.
- Practical solutions backed by sound analysis—fully confident applying insights and ensuring risk is anticipated.

- High-level communication skills (clear, concise, and impactful).
- Comfort stepping into conversations with senior stakeholders, advising and shaping their thinking.
