Insurance Senior Associate Solicitor (Professional Risks & Property Damage) - Manchester City Centre - Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits
A Tier 2 Legal 500-ranked insurance litigation practice is seeking an Insurance Senior Associate Solicitor to join its Manchester office as part of its continued growth. Renowned for its expertise across insurance disputes and litigation, the firm offers a high-quality caseload, strong insurer relationships, and a collaborative working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to work on complex and varied matters whilst benefiting from a clearly defined pathway to Legal Director and ultimately Partnership for the right individual. The firm offers an attractive package including a 12% pension, up to 10% bonus, and flexible/hybrid working.
The Role:
- Handle a broad mix of Professional Risks & Negligence, Construction Disputes, and Property Damage matters on behalf of insurers, businesses, and individual clients
- Manage complex liability claims and policy coverage disputes from instruction through to resolution
- Support the continued growth and development of the team and wider insurance practice
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, insurers, and key stakeholders
- Assist with business development initiatives and contribute to the team's market profile
- Work closely with senior leadership on high-value and strategically important matters
- Support and mentor junior lawyers within the team
- Take increasing responsibility for client relationships and practice development as part of a structured progression pathway

The Candidate:
- Demonstrates strong technical expertise in defending liability claims and advising on policy coverage issues
- Has experience gained within a recognised insurance litigation practice
- Delivers commercially focused, high-quality legal advice, underpinned by strong attention to detail and effective case management
- Builds strong and lasting relationships with clients and colleagues
- Actively contributes to business development and is keen to support the growth of the practice
- Possesses the ambition and capability to progress into Legal Director and Partnership in the future
- An effective communicator with excellent written skills, strong client care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team
