Integration Domain Architect
London | Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite | Permanent | Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits
ARCA Consulting is excited to be partnering with a leading UK ecommerce company to recruit an experienced Integration Domain Architect. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future integration strategy of a major omnichannel business undergoing significant technology transformation. If you're passionate about enterprise architecture, modern integration patterns and enabling digital innovation at scale, this is a role where your expertise will have genuine strategic impact.
The Opportunity
As the Domain Architect for Integration, you'll define and lead the enterprise integration architecture across a complex technology landscape, ensuring systems, platforms, applications and partners connect securely, efficiently and seamlessly.
- Working closely with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Engineering teams and senior business stakeholders, you'll establish the vision, standards and roadmap that underpin a modern, scalable and resilient integration capability.
- This is a highly influential architecture leadership role where you'll balance strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery, helping drive technology simplification while enabling innovation across digital, retail and customer platforms.

What You'll Be Doing
- Define and own the enterprise integration strategy, architecture roadmap and target state.
- Establish best practice, standards and governance across APIs, messaging, event-driven architecture, orchestration and enterprise integration.
- Lead architectural direction for integration platforms, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, observable and resilient.
- Provide architectural leadership and guidance to Solution Architects, engineering teams and delivery partners.
- Drive reuse and consistency across integration services while reducing technical debt and unnecessary point-to-point integrations.
- Collaborate across business and technology teams to support major transformation programmes and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to architecture governance, design authority and technology investment decisions.
- Assess emerging technologies, including AI-enabled integrations, ensuring they align with enterprise standards and security requirements.
- Mentor architects and champion architecture excellence across the organisation.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced Integration Architect who enjoys operating at enterprise level and influencing technology strategy across a large, complex organisation. You'll bring:

- Demonstrable extensive experience in architecture, enterprise integration or technology leadership.
- A strong background within eCommerce.
- Deep expertise designing enterprise integration architectures across cloud, SaaS, on-premise and legacy platforms.
- Excellent knowledge of API architecture, event-driven design, messaging, integration patterns and modern architectural principles.
- Experience with technologies such as Azure Integration Services, Azure API Management, Service Bus, or similar enterprise integration platforms.
- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud integration, security, resilience, observability and operational excellence.
- Experience with architecture frameworks and modelling approaches such as TOGAF, UML, etc.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- A collaborative leadership style with experience mentoring architects and engineering teams.
