Integrations Manager
The opportunity
This is a rare builder-manager role at a well-known international food and drink retailer going through a major data and systems modernisation. They're replatforming onto a modern Azure-native integration stack, retiring a legacy Mulesoft estate, and connecting enterprise SaaS systems across four global markets and they need someone who can lead the team and personally build the hardest integrations themselves. If your last hands-on Azure build was three years ago, this isn't the one. If you still write difficult Function Apps and know how to grow a team, read on.
What you'll be doing
- Own the integration architecture for all SaaS source systems (Workday, Oracle Symphony, NetSuite, ecommerce platforms and more) all new build is on Azure
- Personally design and build the most complex, highest-risk integrations on the Azure stack (APIM, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid) — this is not delegated work
- Line-manage a team of 3-4 integration engineers: hiring, performance, one-to-ones, and engineering culture
- Own the controlled wind-down of the legacy Mulesoft estate — keep it stable while migrating flows to Azure on programme timeline
- Define and enforce integration patterns, API design standards, error handling, security and observability across the team
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, test frameworks and observability dashboards in Application Insights and Log Analytics
- Act as senior technical escalation point for major integration incidents, including out-of-hours when required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
