The Role
The Integrations Engineer is hands-on in the day-to-day build and operation of the integration estate. You will primarily work on Azure – APIM, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus and Event Grid – connecting SaaS systems including Workday, Oracle, NetSuite and ecommerce platforms into our data, finance and operational systems. Reporting to the Lead Integrations Engineer, you will work as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team delivering new integrations solutions. You will write clean, well-tested Azure code, take feedback well, and grow rapidly under strong technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test and operate integrations on the Azure stack, including APIs in APIM, Logic Apps workflows, Function Apps (Python or TypeScript), Service Bus topics and queues, and Event Grid subscriptions.
- Translate integration requirements into working, well-tested flows that follow the Integrations Manager's patterns and standards.
- Build and maintain APIs in Azure APIM, including OpenAPI specs, policies, security and rate limiting.
- Build and maintain event-driven Azure integrations using Service Bus, Event Grid and Function Apps.
- Monitor integrations in production using Application Insights and Log Analytics; investigate and resolve failures, with clear root-cause analysis.
- Participate in the on-call rota for integration incidents.
- Participate in peer code reviews; giving and accepting feedback constructively.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for integration deployment using GitHub Actions.
- Document integrations clearly – what they do, what they depend on, how to operate them.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies – stand-ups, planning, retrospectives.
- Support UAT cycles run by Business Analysts; bridge between technical and business sides of integration testing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
