Intellectual Property Partner – London – Up to £200,000 + Bonus
A leading Legal 500 national law firm with a standout UK reputation is looking for a non-contentious Commercial IP Partner to join its London office. You will work with a high-quality client base across healthcare, insurance and technology sectors, advising on complex commercial, IP and data matters, with a unique opportunity to establish and grow a specialist IP practice within a well-backed national platform.
This Commercial IP Partner role in London offers genuine autonomy to build on existing work, shape the direction of the offering, and develop a market-leading practice with full strategic support from leadership.
The Role
- Lead the development of a Commercial IP offering within the London office
- Build and scale an IP practice, leveraging existing client relationships and pipeline work
- Advise on commercial contracts with a strong focus on IP, data protection and technology
- Drive growth across key sectors including healthcare, insurance, life sciences and tech
- Develop and strengthen relationships across the firm’s national and international network
- Mentor and support the development of junior lawyers
- Lead business development strategy and actively grow your client base
- Work closely with senior leadership to shape the long-term strategy of the London team

The Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor with extensive experience in Commercial Contracts, IP and Data Protection
- Existing following of circa £400k+ or strong evidence of client relationships and business generation
- Background from a reputable national, City or international law firm
- Track record of developing client relationships and driving revenue growth
- Experience advising on cross-border matters or working within an international network
- Leadership capability with a clear ambition to build and lead a team
- Commercially minded with an entrepreneurial and proactive approach
- Sector experience in healthcare, life sciences, insurance or technology advantageous
