Senior Associate - Intellectual Property Disputes 5+ PQE | The City | Top 60 ranked firm
An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Intellectual Property Disputes Solicitor to join a highly ranked L500 law firm. The firm has recently seen a sustained period of growth, and with this comes real opportunity. This is an exciting time to join such a prestigious and progressive law firm.

The Role
This is a unique opportunity for an Intellectual Property Associate or Senior Associate with 5+ PQE to join their industry-leading and growing team. You will be working directly with two partners and a team of talented associates across both the London and Manchester offices. Managing and advising on IP disputes and litigation relating to:
- Trade mark and passing off.
- Copyright.
- Design rights.
- Patents.
With the growth within the department, you will have excellent prospects to develop professional networks and take an active role in your own business development and profile-raising activities. This will provide you with a genuine platform for you to build visibility both within the firm and across the wider IP community.
The Team
The leading IP team advises on a comprehensive range of intellectual property matters, including rights management, commercialisation, protection and enforcement. Their work covers IP strategy, registrations, training, infringement issues and disputes, representing an impressive range of clients across the sports, fashion and brand-heavy sectors.
The team is headed by a heavy-hitting, award-winning partner who has extensive knowledge across a broad spectrum of Intellectual Property and Commercial disputes. You will be joining a team of established and experienced lawyers, where you will play a vital part in shaping the team’s trajectory alongside advancing your own career development.
As part of a full-service firm, you will also benefit from close collaboration with specialists in Employment, Data Protection, Media, Advertising and Private Client. Ensuring IP matters are approached with a fully integrated and highly efficient service.

Requirements
- Experienced Intellectual Property Disputes Solicitor with 5+ PQE (England & Wales)
- A down-to-earth, commercial mindset with excellent written English, communication skills and strong client-facing ability.
- A passion for creative problem-solving, delivering neat and effective solutions to complex IP issues.
- Enthusiasm for business development and marketing, with an engaging, personable and collaborative approach.
- Strong academic credentials (including the Oxford IP Diploma or equivalent) and a team-focused attitude, supporting and supervising junior colleagues.
