STAR Housing is looking for two experienced and motivated Intensive Housing Managers to lead and develop key areas of our Intensive Housing Management service. This is an opportunity to manage and support frontline teams who work with vulnerable customers, helping them sustain their accommodation, maintain independence and achieve positive outcomes.
As an Intensive Housing Manager, you will provide operational leadership to Intensive Housing Officers and associated staff, oversee service performance, manage risk and safeguarding responsibilities, and work closely with partners including Shropshire Council, health services, social care and voluntary sector organisations.

About The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, developing and supporting frontline teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.
- Overseeing tenancy sustainment, intensive housing management and support for customers with complex needs.
- Managing service performance, compliance, safeguarding and risk management arrangements.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve positive customer outcomes.
- Ensuring properties, schemes and accommodation are safe, compliant and well managed.
Essential Requirements
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience working with vulnerable customers or households with complex needs.
- Experience of multi-agency working and partnership approaches.
- Experience managing workloads, service performance and improvement activities.
- Knowledge of housing management, tenancy sustainment and intensive housing management services.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, health and safety and related legislation.
- The ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
- Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to travel across Shropshire as required by the role.
