Newcastle/Scotland, UK (Hybrid)
We’re on the hunt for an Interaction Designer to join our team! A designer in this role will be responsible for shaping intuitive, accessible and user‑centred digital services, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that every design decision is grounded in evidence and aligned with user needs.
You must be confident facilitating communication between stakeholders, UCD teams and delivery groups, supporting agile ways of working, and driving a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
About Us
We are a software consultancy that provides highly skilled consultants to support clients’ business needs. Test Driven Solutions has had a successful five years since incorporation in 2020, building a close-knit culture and delivering to various clients. Our consultants work across green/brownfield projects using the latest cutting-edge technologies.
We work within private and public sectors, including financial services, government, property, education, manufacturing, gaming and renewable energy organisations. We continuously grow as a business, with new client wins and an ongoing internal ERP system being built.
At TDS we uphold clear and unwavering values, fostering a community-oriented ethos that encourages close collaboration across our diverse disciplines. We hold regular team meet-ups, both online and in person, and monthly company wide social events. In addition, we organise company away weekends, which have previously taken us to cities like Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, Riga and Dublin. These trips offer the team a chance to unwind and strengthen connections outside of the office. It is important to us to create an environment where strong connections are built and camaraderie is nurtured within our team.

Offering full hybrid working patterns to align with today’s flexible work environment, our team is spread across the UK, with members based in and around Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Inverness, and Birmingham. We are proud to have our new and modern UK headquarters on the Quayside in Newcastle’s city centre, with stunning views of the Glass House. This office serves as a central base of work for everyone, providing a collaborative space for our team when they come together. We have recently opened a modern office space, located near Edinburgh’s Haymarket station as a base for our Scottish team to collaborate.
Additionally, we have teams located in our international office regions in Wrocław, Poland, and Calgary, Canada, creating a truly global workforce. This distributed team structure fosters strong connections and collaboration, regardless of location.
Role Requirements
We are looking for interaction designers with a combination of the following skills, and encourage all applicants, even if you don’t tick all the boxes.

- Ability to produce wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications.
- Strong understanding of interaction design and usability principles.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
- Experience working in agile or iterative delivery environments.
- Ability to interpret research insights and service data to inform design decisions.
- Familiarity with industry-standard design and prototyping tools.
