Role

As an Interactive Technical Artist, you will design and implement presentation-driven content for EA SPORTS FC, partnering with designers, engineers, and artists to bring engaging in-game experiences to life using proprietary tools and the Frostbite engine.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Design team to prototype and implement interactive gameplay experiences.
  • Use in-house tools to create and implement presentation content, including:
    • Character presentation and interaction.
    • Interactive cutscenes and cinematics.
    • Camera control and shot composition.
    • Gameplay and presentation triggers for cinematic and audio events.
  • Follow creative direction and reference material provided by producers, art directors, and game designers, translating the vision into high-quality in-game presentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams - including Art, Animation, Rendering, Gameplay, Audio, and UI - to define and implement presentation features.
  • Gather references, storyboard ideas, and present concepts back to the team while contributing to the overall creative vision.
  • Report progress to Technical Directors and Project Managers.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of cinematic presentation, including characters, cameras, dialogue delivery, and audio.
  • Experience working with in-game cinematic systems, including camera control, timing, sequencing, and event triggers.
  • Understanding of interactive cutscene logic and event-driven gameplay systems.
  • 2+ years of experience designing and implementing game content using game editing tools.
  • Familiarity with gameplay logic, conditional systems, in-game events, and object properties.
  • Understanding of the game development lifecycle, from concept through to final release.
  • Experience with game engines and 3D content creation software is a plus.
