Ember – Electric Coach Driver (Edinburgh)
Ember is the UK’s first fully-electric, zero-emission coach company. We launched in October 2020 and now operate multiple routes across Scotland, including Dundee to Glasgow, Aberdeen to Edinburgh, and key connections to cities like Edinburgh. We’re exciting to expand across Scotland in 2025, adding routes to Inverness, Thurso, Oban, and soon Livingston.
We’re seeking motivated and enthusiastic drivers to join our pioneering team—whether you’ve a passion for electric vehicles or fantastic customer service. As we build our Edinburgh hub to support growing connections into the city, we’re looking for driven individuals eager to evolve with a company proving transport can be done differently.
Join us for an exciting time in public transport history!
## Responsibilities

- Customer service: Act as the first point of contact for passengers, prioritising communication and problem-solving during outages or delays.
- Operational excellence: Work closely with our Operations team to ensure a seamless customer experience, thinking ahead when conditions are busy.
- Representation of Ember’s values: Embrace proactive passenger support—whether lifting luggage, maintaining cleanliness, or offering a friendly greeting throughout journeys.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
