'embber — the future of public transport starts now'
About Ember
Various start dates available from April 2026. Ember is the UK’s first fully-electric, zero-emission coach company. Launched in October 2020, we now operate multiple routes across Scotland and are expanding our network with new hubs—including in Glasgow.
We’re recruiting drivers across Scotland to help us shape the future of public transport. Whether you have a passion for electric vehicles or excellent customer service, we want you to join us. This is an exciting time for a fast-growing company—one proving sustainability and innovation matter.
Responsibilities
-
Front-line interaction: You’ll be the primary point of contact for passengers, addressing questions, assisting with special needs, or navigating challenges.
-
Teamwork & adaptability: Our Glasgow team is tight-knit but operating in a supportive yet autonomous setting. You’ll need problem-solving skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to deliver our high standards—whether by carrying luggage, ensuring a pristine interior, or offering a friendly greeting.
-
Technology & compatibility: We’ve developed in-house systems to enhance passenger journeys. asas a digital coach user, you’ll need to embrace and master these tools.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
