Intercompany Accountant 📍 London Heathrow | Hybrid Working Available Join Nippon Express Nippon Express is one of the world's leading logistics and supply chain organisations, operating across more than 50 countries and employing over 75,000 people globally. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Intercompany Accountant to join our Finance team based at London Heathrow. This role offers the opportunity to work within a global finance network, supporting intercompany accounting activities across multiple entities while collaborating with colleagues around the world. About the Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing a range of intercompany accounting activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, reconciliations are completed efficiently, and balances are maintained in line with company standards. This is an ideal opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys problem-solving, working with large volumes of financial data and building strong relationships across an international business. Key Responsibilities Generate and issue intercompany invoices and statements. Manage aged intercompany receivables and payables. Record and reconcile group billing transactions. Process and clear monthly netting results. Complete intercompany account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Process and record intercompany invoices across multiple business units. Manage interbranch and group account clearings. Maintain airline, group and suspense account reconciliations. Process accruals and support month-end accounting activities. Create and maintain customer and supplier account records. Liaise with internal stakeholders and overseas group companies to resolve queries. Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with internal financial controls. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance function. About You We are looking for someone who is: Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail. Analytical and confident working with financial data. Self-motivated and able to work independently. A proactive problem solver with a positive attitude. Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines. A strong communicator who can build relationships across different countries and departments. Professional, collaborative and committed to delivering high-quality work. Previous experience in an accounting, finance or intercompany accounting role. Strong reconciliation and ledger management experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience using Microsoft 365 and SharePoint. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP would be advantageous. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a wider team environment. Competitive salary. Hybrid working arrangements. Flexible working hours.
