We are seeking an experienced and proactive Interface Engineer to join one of the UK's largest and most significant infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of complex engineering delivery, supporting the coordination and integration of multiple workstreams across a major nuclear new build programme.
Working within the Integration function, you will play a key role in managing interfaces between delivery teams, ensuring alignment across programmes, maintaining effective communication between stakeholders, and supporting safe, efficient, and collaborative project execution.
Skills/Experience Required
- Experience in interface management within large-scale infrastructure, engineering, construction, or major project environments.
- Strong understanding of construction activities, project delivery approaches, and on-site coordination requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing interface issues, dependencies, and stakeholder coordination on complex engineering projects.
- Proven project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience producing technical documentation, reporting, and interface management records.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.
- Relevant degree, tertiary qualification, or equivalent professional experience in engineering, construction, or project management.

Role Information
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the Interface Management Plan across the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and monitor interfaces between Civil Works Programme sub-programmes and wider project stakeholders.
- Capture, track, and manage interface agreements between teams and contractors.
- Produce and maintain standardised interface documentation, reports, and performance updates for senior management and stakeholders.
- Support Project Managers in achieving 'best for project' outcomes while maintaining the highest health and safety standards.
- Monitor progress against interface requirements and identify potential risks, impacts, or change requirements.
- Ensure interface issues are effectively managed, escalated where necessary, and closed out in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain Interface Milestone Definition Sheets.
- Facilitate collaboration between internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Review construction activities, schedules, dependencies, and critical path requirements to ensure programme alignment.
- Support the identification and implementation of solutions to minimise disruption and improve project delivery efficiency.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and communicate complex technical or commercial issues clearly and effectively.
