Interim AI Strategy & Transformation Lead
Interim Data & AI Transformation Operator
We are supporting a PE-backed technology organisation on a major Data & AI transformation programme and are seeking an interim consultant-style operator to help shape and deliver the strategic roadmap.
The client boasts senior Data/AI capability but now requires someone who can bring structure, pace, and strategic clarity to the programme. This role will involve translating technical opportunity into a clear 18-month strategy, operating model, and executive-level roadmap.
The ideal candidate should have a background in one or more of the following areas:
- Strategy consulting
- Digital transformation
- Data strategy
- AI strategy
- Operating model design
- Strategic projects

Key Responsibilities
- Build out an 18-month Data & AI strategy deck for senior leadership / board-level audiences
- Work closely with Data/AI leadership to translate technical priorities into a clear business roadmap
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions across the organisation
- Identify and prioritise AI/data use cases based on business value, feasibility, and impact
- Shape the operating model, governance, delivery plan, and capability requirements
- Develop business case thinking, investment priorities, and implementation sequencing
- Bring consulting-style structure to a fast-moving, ambiguous transformation environment

Ideal Background
- Ex-consultant or consulting-trained profile from a strategy, transformation, digital, data, or AI practice
- Experience creating senior-level strategy decks, roadmaps, and transformation plans
- Comfortable working across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Exposure to Data, AI, automation, digital transformation, or technology-enabled change
- Able to operate hands-on, rather than purely advisory
