The Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading Food & Beverage Services business to appoint an Interim Assistant Treasurer based in Central London on a hybrid basis. This role will support the Treasury function during a period of change and growth, ensuring effective liquidity management, cash forecasting, banking operations, and treasury reporting across a multi-site operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily cash positioning and liquidity across multiple bank accounts and entities.
  • Prepare and maintain short and medium-term cash flow forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Support working capital initiatives and cash optimisation strategies.
  • Monitor treasury controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with banking partners and support ongoing banking projects.
  • Assist with funding activities, including debt management and covenant reporting.
  • Support foreign exchange (FX) exposure monitoring and hedging activities where required.
  • Produce regular treasury reporting for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Review and improve treasury processes, driving efficiencies and automation where possible.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Operational teams to improve cash visibility and forecasting accuracy.
  • Support treasury-related projects, including system enhancements, cash management initiatives, and process improvements.

Key Requirements

  • Treasury experience gained within a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of cash management, liquidity planning, and cash forecasting.
  • Experience managing multi-entity and high-volume cash operations.
  • Knowledge of treasury controls, banking operations, and working capital management.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Experience using Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and ERP platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience within Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Retail, Consumer Goods, or multi-site organisations.
  • Experience supporting treasury transformation or process improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of FX and debt management activities.
  • ACT qualification (or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
