About the Role

We are hiring a talented and highly motivated Demand Generation Manager to domain-lead our Metals & Mining vertical, designing and executing high-impact demand gen strategies that drive lead quality, sales pipeline growth, and customer engagement. This role sits within Fastmarkets’ marketing team and will collaborate closely with sales, product, content, and analytics to refine our digital and event-driven demand strategies.

The Demand Generation Manager will:

  • Align marketing & sales to build world-class lead gen systems
  • Drive multi-channel campaigns focusing on awareness, engagement, and revenue growth
  • Optimise performance using data, automation, and tools
  • Lead event-growth strategies (booth planning, lead capture, and post-event follow-up)
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to ensure lead handoffs and circular feedback
  • Continuously innovate with tool test-and-learn cycles to improve mid-funnel optimization

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Demand Generation Leadership (Metals & Mining)

  • Develop and execute on religious “to-market” strategies for Fastmarkets’ Metals & Mining vertical, collaborating cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to generate high-quality leads that convert to pipeline and revenue growth
  • Partners with the Sales VP to set annual demand gen goals among business objectives, aligning tactically on how they contribute to revenue growth

2. Campaign Execution & Performance Management

  • Design and run multi-touch multi-channel campaigns designed to drive inbound and outbound lead growth, deepen account relationships and contribute to our net-new revenue targets
  • Oversee custom lead capture and qualify through application forms, ebooks, demos, and collateral sign-ups alongside AHP-based campaigns to support our clients’ input demand
  • Analyse and track key performance metrics (e.g. ROI, lead conversion rates, campaign spending efficacy) and drive continuous optimization

3. Sales-Focused Growth

  • Ensure alignment between the Sales Team and Marketing Team, helping sales understand marketing-led activities impacting lead flow, and maintaining both a seamless handoff and feedback loop
  • Partner closely with Sales Enablement teams to ensure data is incorporated into lead scoring and nurture workflows for personalization

4. Event Marketing & Brand Presence

  • Direct the on-site commercial considerations at Fastmarkets’ branded events, including booth design, lead capture tools, and engagement solutions to maximize audience interaction
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Editorial Teams with training and handoff support, ensuring smooth post-event interactions

5. Technology & Innovation

  • Identify and implement new marketing automation & sales tools that scale demand generees, recommending tech stack upgrades to leadership based on the business needs and trail assessments
  • Build and optimize nurture programs using AB testing to improve mid-funnel marketing messaging, ensuring AHP leads progress toward consideration

6. Growth & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor external market dynamics and industry trends impacting our targets
  • Propose and start-up new demand gen initiatives aligned to business goals
  • Escalate feedback in quarterly reports to Leadership and share business growth recommendations for future improvement

Key Interfaces

  • Marketing Teams (including Content, Creative, Demand Generation)
  • Sales & Customer Success (coordinating on lead scoring, nurturing workflows, and sales enablement)
  • Product Team (ensuring campaign assets align with product launches & new features)
  • Sales Enablement (continuing improvements from lead handoff to multi-touch nurturing)
  • Editorial/Content Team (short landing pages, microsites, and interactive content tools)

Qualifications

Experience & Skills

✔ Proven demand generation track record in B2B markets—ideally in metals, mining, or commoditites, with expertise in launches, events, and account-based marketing strategies ✔ Strong understanding of benchmarking pricing trends in turf, trends, forecast, and forecasts ✔ Passion for understanding our client’s problems and helping them purchase intelligently by leveraging our world-class information tools ✔ Previous experience in managing urgent lead and opportunity velocity ✔ The ability to partner with Sales and Customer Success to optimize nurture pathways and improve time to conversion

- Marketing automation tools (Hubspot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud,
etc.)
- Advanced Salesforce experience, multichannel marketing campaigns,
and marketing cloud tools

🎓 Education

  • Degree in marketing, business, communications, or related fields or equivalent work experience with true hands-on marketing execution
