GatenbySanderson is delighted to be working with a producing theatre based in Scotland, to recruit an Interim Chief Executive for a period of c. 6 months.
Commencing in early August, this role will require the successful candidate to be based in Scotland for 3-4 days per week during the initial onboarding period throughout August. Thereafter, the position will move to a more flexible hybrid arrangement, with on-site presence around 2 days per week.

The appointment is anticipated to provide senior leadership support to the organisation for a period of up to six months.
Role Objectives
- To ensure the organisation continues to operate with clarity, confidence and momentum throughout the period of the interim post.
- Maintain the confidence of staff, artists, funders and the Board.
- Ensuring executive decisions continue to be made clearly, promptly and with appropriate authority.
The Person
- We are looking for an accomplished leader with extensive experience at a senior level within a performing arts organisation.
- The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the artistic and operational aspects involved in managing such an institution.
- This is a producing house with an international reputation. Previous knowledge and experience of working in a producing theatre environment would be highly advantageous.
