Interim Client Accounting Finance Manager
One of the UK’s most prestigious and market-leading nationwide multi-disciplinary property companies has an outstanding opportunity for an Interim Client Accounting Finance Manager.
This business has successfully amassed a longstanding and rich history delivering first-class property management solutions across the UK and fostering a loyal client base comprised of some of the country’s most high-profile real estate development and investment businesses with multi-billion pound portfolios.
They have an exciting opportunity for an Interim Client Accounting Finance Manager to undertake a 6-month fixed-term contract initially with a view to an extension up to 12 months or longer, as well as joining their friendly, well-structured, and motivated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Client Accounting functions across a high-performing property portfolio.
- Facilitate the delivery of service charge budgeting with apportionments through liaison with highly efficient property management teams.
- Manage the preparation and delivery of Service Charge expenditure reporting with detailed variance analysis.
- Prepare Service Charge reconciliations and year-end accounts.
- Liaise and maintain relationships with property and asset management teams.
- Coordinate operational asset-level reporting, including rental income and revenue reporting with variances (actuals vs. forecast).
- Review and approve client money transactions in accordance with delegated authorities and RICS client money requirements.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual client account reconciliations.
- Support budgeting and cash flow forecasting in relation to managed and client property portfolios.
- Review and allocate workloads across a small team of Client Accountants.
- Oversee the preparation and client cash summaries.
- Undertake the preparation of client year-end reporting.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of VAT reporting across client accounts.

Requirements
The successful candidate will preferably have a degree in Accounting & Finance or vocational accounting qualification AAT, ACCA, or CIMA; please note that this is not an essential requirement.
In addition, you will have acquired commercial experience either as or in the real estate sector undertaking any of the following roles:

- Property Accounting Finance Manager
Experience reporting undertaking reporting on commercial property portfolios is advantageous and not essential as the client will also welcome applications from those from residential and industrial backgrounds also.
You will be proficient in the preparation of service charge budgeting, reconciliations, and year-end accounts, in conjunction with asset-level rental income/revenue reporting with variance analysis.
In addition, you will have experience of either managing or supporting small teams. We also welcome applications from candidates who have developed supervisory experience through mentoring, training, or reviewing the work of junior colleagues.
