Exciting opportunity to join a leading international metals company in South Yorkshire on a 6-12 month contract.
About the Role
This is a newly created role for a Compliance Manager to support the international trading operations.
Responsibilities
Taking full accountability for customs and international trade compliance Ensuring correct application of incoterms Reviewing and approving export and import documentation Liaising with customs brokers Ensuring correct customs classifications of goods Maintaining compliance with UK customs regulations and applicable international trade laws Supporting the business in understanding customs and tax implications of trading models Liaising with Finance to ensure overseas tax and related trade reporting requirements are identified and appropriately addressed

The successful candidate will be a specialist in customs and international trade compliance and be the subject matter expert within the business. Recognised customs or international trade qualification ( desirable )
You will also have a good working knowledge of incoterms, commodity codes and import/export documentation.
