Interim Data Consultant
Are you an experienced HR Systems and Data specialist who can quickly optimise reporting, integrations, and system performance?
Do you have the expertise to turn SAP Business Objects and HR data into meaningful insight and operational improvements?
Ready to make an immediate impact by enhancing HR systems, dashboards, and data flows across a complex organisation?
MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading UK business on a key interim hire, an experienced Interim Data Consultant / HR Systems Analyst to support a critical phase of optimisation and continuous improvement across HR systems, reporting capability, and data integration. This is not a purely reporting-focused role.
The successful individual will sit across HR systems, reporting, data flows, and integration capability, helping the business maximise the value and functionality of existing platforms whilst improving reporting outputs and operational insight. The systems are already in place and operational, however the business now requires someone who can quickly assess the current landscape, improve reporting capability, streamline integrations, and ensure the systems are being fully utilised. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, make an immediate impact, and work closely with both IT and HR stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
