Data Protection Paralegal / Practitioner
Location: Liverpool (Hybrid Working) Job Type: Daily Rate Contract - ASAP start Experience: Minimum 3 years
About the Role We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Data Protection Practitioner or Paralegal to join our team based in Liverpool, with a flexible hybrid working model. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on data protection experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing workflows, handling data subject rights, and supporting wider compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities Managing workflows and allocating incoming data protection work Logging and responding to Subject Access Requests (SARs), including customer, HR, and other data subject rights requests Reviewing and assessing data breaches, escalating where appropriate Monitoring and managing the data protection mailbox Supporting the handling of data protection complaints Assisting with non-complex project work, including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)

About You Experience in a data protection, privacy, or compliance role at practitioner or paralegal level Strong understanding of GDPR and UK data protection legislation Experience handling SARs and data subject rights requests Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders across the business

Desirable (but not essential) Experience supporting DPIAs or data protection projects Previous experience in a regulated environment Familiarity with data breach management processes
