MAIN PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE JOB
The Interim Ecommerce Senior Lead will lead the strategic direction and commercial performance of Optibac's ecommerce channels, including our online marketplaces and D2C website* for a fixed-term period of approximately 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Working closely with the Marketing Director and wider Commercial Team, you will ensure our ecommerce channels continue to deliver profitable growth through effective trading, optimisation and commercial decision-making.
This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery, while supporting the business through its next phase of ecommerce development.
Flexibility is essential at Wren Laboratories, with all teams working closely together to support and develop the Optibac brand, so occasional support may be required across other areas of the business.
*Candidates without D2C website experience will be considered for an adapted, narrower role provided they have excellent and highly relevant Amazon expertise – including demonstrable experience specifically with Seller Central and FBA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketplaces
- Lead the performance of Amazon and other marketplace channels.
- Deliver further visibility & growth in this already significant channel.
- Manage marketplace forecasting, budgets and P&Ls.
- Ensure Optibac maintains a premium, science-led brand presence across all marketplace platforms.
Website
- Alongside the Digital Marketing Manager, lead the commercial performance of Optibac's D2C ecommerce website.
- Own the website platform strategy, evaluating and deciding on the right technology to support commercial goals.
- Advise on and oversee ownership of international websites.
- Manage the ecommerce budget, forecasting and P&L.
- Work closely with Digital, Brand and external agency partners to deliver commercial objectives.

Commercial Performance
- Deliver agreed revenue, profit and commercial KPIs.
- Monitor performance using data and analytics to identify opportunities and risks.
- Provide regular trading updates and strategic recommendations to the Marketing Director and senior stakeholders.
- Support annual planning and forecasting processes.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, coach and support the ecommerce team.
- Foster effective collaboration across Brand, Digital, Supply Chain, Finance and Customer Services.
- Ensure ecommerce priorities are aligned with wider commercial objectives.
- Support cross-functional projects where ecommerce expertise is required.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset, comfortable making decisions with direct P&L impact.
- Confident operating and influencing at senior leadership and stakeholder level.
- Able to shape ecommerce strategy as well as drive hands-on operational delivery.
- Proven ability to get up to speed quickly and make an immediate impact in a new business.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Significant senior-level experience (typically 8+ years) leading ecommerce within a consumer brand, retail or FMCG business.
- Proven track record of delivering profitable ecommerce growth.
- Strong experience managing both DTC websites and Amazon Marketplace via Seller Central.
- Strong experience managing ecommerce trading, forecasting and budgets.
- Experience leading and developing teams.
- Excellent commercial judgement and decision-making skills.
