The Role: Interim Finance Analyst

The organisation is seeking an Interim Finance Analyst to support:

  • European and US GAAP reporting.
  • Statutory accounts.
  • Compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist in month-end closing processes, including:
    • Posting journal entries.
    • Preparing reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • US GAAP, local GAAP, and company policies.
  • Prepare and review:
    • Statutory accounts.
    • VAT returns.
    • Tax filings.
  • Support external audits by:
    • Providing documentation.
    • Offering updates.
  • Maintain:
    • SOX controls.
    • Internal compliance procedures.
  • Collaborate with:
    • Cross-functional teams.
    • External auditors.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

Seeking a finance professional with:

  • A proactive and dedicated attitude.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Drive to develop their career in financial accounting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in financial accounting.
  • Familiarity with:
    • UK GAAP.
    • US GAAP.
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant, such as:
    • AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA.

Essential Technical Skills

  • Experience with:
    • Month-end close processes.
    • Journal entries.
    • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of:
    • VAT compliance.
    • Tax compliance.
    • External audit procedures.
  • ERP system proficiency, including:
    • SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Excel expertise.
  • Understanding of:
    • SOX controls.
    • Internal compliance processes.
