Interim Finance Business Partner | Hybrid/Manchester | 3-6 Month Fixed Term Contract
A hands-on Finance Business Partner to keep the business moving. We're looking for an experienced Interim Finance Business Partner to join a well-established housing organisation during a period of change. This is a key assignment, providing stability and high-quality financial support while the permanent position is recruited. You'll become a trusted partner to operational leaders, ensuring budgets, reporting and financial controls continue to run smoothly while helping the wider finance team deliver business-critical priorities. This is far more than a month-end role. You'll be visible across the organisation, building relationships, providing commercial challenge and helping managers make informed decisions through clear financial insight.

- Partnering with operational managers and budget holders across the business
- Preparing monthly management accounts with insightful variance analysis
- Leading monthly budget review meetings and supporting accurate forecasting
- Supporting the annual budgeting and business planning process
- Producing KPI reporting and meaningful management information
- Posting journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Supporting quarterly regulatory and tax returns
- Assisting with statutory accounts and year-end activities
- Responding to ad-hoc financial queries and providing practical commercial advice
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and financial information
About You
We're looking for someone who can quickly build credibility and add value from day one.
You'll Ideally Have
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification (or be qualified by experience with relevant background)
- Strong Finance Business Partnering experience
- Excellent management accounting and budgeting experience
- The confidence to challenge and influence non-finance stakeholders
- Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge
- Experience working within social housing or another regulated environment is essential
