Interim Finance Business Partner - Opex / Budgeting
Circa £450-£500/day (Outside IR35)
3 Month Contract
London (Hybrid)

We are supporting a high growth, international Tech business in the search for an Interim Finance Business Partner to provide additional support during a key budgeting and forecasting period.

This is an initial 3 month contract, with the potential to extend depending on business requirement.

Working closely with senior Finance and operational stakeholders, this person will play a key role in supporting the budgeting process across Opex, headcount and central business functions.

The Role

Reporting into the Commercial Finance team, responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the end to end budgeting and forecasting process across Opex and headcount.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders across central functions to provide financial insight and challenge.
  • Consolidating headcount and overheads across a number of business areas.
  • Preparing analysis, variance commentary and first draft outputs for senior review.
  • Reviewing data, identifying issues and suggesting practical solutions.
  • Supporting month end where required during the budgeting cycle.
  • Helping improve reporting, planning and budgeting processes where capacity allows.
  • Working closely with the wider Finance team to deliver accurate, timely and useful analysis.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner who can quickly integrate into a fast-paced commercial environment.

You will ideally have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance or FP&A role.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling experience.
  • Good experience across Opex, overheads and headcount planning.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with Power Query / pivot table experience useful.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with senior leaders.
  • The ability to analyse data, write clear commentary and make sensible recommendations.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience working within a growing, international or commercially driven business.
