Interim Finance Director
9-Month Contract | Potential Temp-to-Perm | Hybrid
A high-growth financial services business is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to join its leadership team during an exciting phase of growth and development.
This is a broad and highly visible role, offering a combination of strategic leadership and hands-on delivery. Reporting into the COO, you will oversee all aspects of finance while leading a small team and supporting key business decisions.
This opportunity would suit an ACA-qualified finance leader who enjoys operating in an entrepreneurial environment and can combine strong technical expertise with commercial insight.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function and manage a team of 3
- Deliver monthly management accounts and board reporting
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Lead audit, statutory reporting, and tax compliance
- Strengthen financial controls, governance, and reporting processes
- Partner closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives
- Drive process improvements and finance transformation projects
- Support wider business growth through commercial analysis and decision support
Candidate Profile
We are particularly interested in candidates who possess:
- ACA qualification or equivalent
- Financial services experience is a must
- Previous Finance Director, Head of Finance, or Senior Financial Controller experience
- Strong financial control and technical accounting expertise
- Hands-on experience managing and developing small finance teams is essential
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
