Are you a finance professional with a passion for data governance, controls, and business transformation?
We are seeking an experienced Finance Data, Governance & Controls Manager to play a pivotal role in a major enterprise-wide transformation programme. Working at the heart of a significant finance systems implementation, you will help shape and embed the finance data structures, governance frameworks, and control environment required to support the successful deployment of SAP Concur and SAP S/4HANA.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery, working across finance, systems, governance, and business change to ensure robust and sustainable finance processes are embedded across the organisation.
The Role
You will take ownership of finance data governance and master data management processes, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and reliable financial data supports planning, reporting, compliance, and decision-making. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and embedding of finance data standards, governance frameworks, and control processes.
- Owning and evolving the Finance Master Data Management (MDM) operating model across integrated finance systems.
- Ensuring finance data structures, reporting requirements, and controls are aligned to business processes and system design.
- Acting as the subject-matter expert for finance data governance, controls, and master data.
- Driving data quality improvements, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities for automation and process efficiency.
- Supporting audit, compliance, and financial control activities to strengthen the organisation's governance framework.
- Building strong relationships across Finance, IT, Procurement, HR, and programme teams to support successful change adoption and operational readiness.

About You
We are looking for a finance professional who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent stakeholder management and change capability.
You will bring:
- Background in financial or management accounting, with exposure to planning, forecasting, or financial reporting.
- Experience working within finance data management, governance, risk, or financial control environments.
- Knowledge of master data management and governance frameworks.
- Experience supporting large-scale systems implementations, transformation programmes, or business change initiatives.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, data structures, and internal controls.
- Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders across complex organisations.

Desirable Experience
- Experience of SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP Concur.
- Experience within higher education, public sector, or similarly complex environments.
- Knowledge of governance, compliance, and audit frameworks.
- Previous experience working within transformation or ERP implementation programmes.
