Interim Financial Controller (Outside IR35)
Location: Weybridge Hybrid
Day Rate: £450–£550 per day (Outside IR35)

A high-growth, private equity-backed consumer business is looking to appoint an experienced Interim Financial Controller to provide immediate support to the CFO during a critical period of growth.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced Financial Controller who is equally comfortable owning the month-end close, strengthening financial controls and improving reporting, whilst rolling up their sleeves to support the wider finance function. Strong NetSuite experience is essential, enabling you to make an immediate impact from day one.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll play a key role in maintaining a best-in-class finance function while helping drive process improvements across systems, reporting and controls. You'll be joining a fast-paced, product-led business where adaptability, pace and attention to detail are critical.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting analysis.
- Strengthen financial controls and identify opportunities to improve finance processes.
- Take ownership of cash flow, balance sheet integrity and working capital reporting.
- Support statutory reporting, audit preparation and VAT compliance.
- Partner with the leadership team to deliver commercial insight and financial analysis.
- Maximise the use of NetSuite, improving reporting capability and operational efficiency.
- Provide hands-on support across the finance function, from journals and reconciliations through to business partnering.

Candidate Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an Interim or Financial Controller within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Strong hands-on NetSuite experience is essential.
- Previous experience within eCommerce, retail, consumer or product-based businesses is highly desirable.
- Excellent technical accounting and financial control expertise.
- Comfortable operating autonomously with minimal handover.
- A proactive, hands-on individual who enjoys solving problems and improving processes.
- Previous experience within a private equity-backed business would be advantageous.
