Interim Financial Controller | £80,000 - £85,000 or day rate equivalent | 6-Months | Harrogate

Are you a hands-on Financial Controller who enjoys improving processes, strengthening controls, and providing meaningful commercial insight?

If you're someone who thrives on bringing structure to growing businesses and leaving finance functions in a far better place than you found them, this could be the ideal interim opportunity.

We're partnering with a purpose-led Yorkshire manufacturer that's entering an exciting period of growth following recent investment. They're looking to appoint an Interim Financial Controller for an initial six-month assignment while they recruit permanently.

Whether you're looking for a fixed-term contract or a day-rate assignment, they're open to discussing the right engagement model for the right individual.

The Role

This is a broad, hands-on role where you'll work closely with senior leadership, improve reporting and controls, and support operational decision-making across the business.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll become their right-hand person, taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function while helping drive improvements across reporting, controls, and commercial finance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
