Interim Financial Controller – Temporary Role

Responsibilities
- Oversee financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy in all financial statements
- Manage and maintain robust financial controls while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support strategic operational decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise financial performance
- Guarantee timely submission of statutory reports and filings
- Provide team leadership to align accounting functions with business objectives
- Identify and implement financial process improvements
- Support external audits and respond effectively to audit queries

Requirements
An ideal candidate will possess:

- A qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., Chartered Accountant, CIMA, ICAS)
- Proven experience in financial management and reporting
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and control frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a finance team
- Proficiency in financial software and tools
Job Offer
- Temporary role with flexibility to influence impact quickly
- Structure: Professional, structured working environment based in Peterborough
- Duty: 3 days in-office per week
- Rate: Competitive daily fee of GBP 400–450
