Interim Financial Controller – Insurance / Financial Services
Location: London / Reading (Hybrid)
Contract: 6–9 Months

We're supporting a leading insurance/financial services business in the appointment of an Interim Financial Controller for an initial 6–9 month contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional with a strong technical accounting background. Previous insurance or financial services experience is essential, along with demonstrable hands-on IFRS 17 expertise.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial control, month-end, and year-end reporting activities.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, with a particular focus on IFRS 17.
- Oversee financial controls, balance sheet integrity, and reconciliations.
- Prepare statutory and regulatory reporting.
- Act as a key contact for external auditors and senior finance stakeholders.
- Support finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical accounting guidance across the finance function.
About You

- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager within insurance or financial services.
- Hands-on IFRS 17 experience is a non-negotiable requirement.
- Strong technical accounting and statutory reporting experience.
- Available to start at short notice or within the next few weeks.
This role offers a hybrid working pattern based between London and Reading and is ideal for an experienced interim looking to make an immediate impact within a well-established organisation.
