MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading consumer products business on the search for an Interim Financial Controller. This is a 3-Month Fixed Term Contract, based in Bolton.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to provide immediate leadership and continuity to a busy finance function. You'll oversee the day-to-day running of finance across the UK and European operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and business continuity while supporting the organisation through an important transition period.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll bring a hands-on approach, quickly build relationships, and provide valuable financial support across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day finance operations across the UK and European entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end reporting, financial statements, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee statutory reporting, audit preparation, and tax compliance activities.
- Manage treasury, cash flow reporting, and financial controls.
- Support inventory accounting and partner with operational teams to improve financial performance.
- Maintain robust internal controls while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the finance team throughout the contract period.
- Act as the key finance contact for auditors, advisors, and external stakeholders.
- Support ongoing finance projects and ensure a smooth handover to the incoming permanent Financial Controller.

What We're Looking For:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Significant post-qualification experience within Financial Control or senior finance leadership.
- Previous experience managing finance teams within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory reporting and audit.
- Experience working across multi-entity businesses, ideally within an international environment.
- Strong ERP systems experience with advanced Excel skills.
- Able to hit the ground running, quickly build credibility, and operate with minimal supervision.
- Available immediately or at short notice.
