Interim Financial Reporting Accountant

Location: London (Hybrid)
Contract: 3 months

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, supporting statutory compliance, and ensuring an efficient month-end close process across UK, Dutch, German, French and other entities.
This role would suit a technically strong ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant with experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and external audit, who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the month-end close process, including the preparation and posting of journals such as accruals, prepayments, payroll, depreciation, and revenue adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting commentary.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and support the completion of group reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with finance teams across multiple international locations to ensure statutory reporting obligations are met.
  • Support the year-end external audit, coordinating information requests, preparing supporting documentation, and tracking audit deliverables.
  • Perform and review key balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Review the work of junior finance team members, providing guidance and ensuring a high standard of output.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the wider finance function to support ongoing projects and continuous process improvements.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
