Interim FP&A Consultant | Entertainment Scale-Up | London / Hybrid

The Client

Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with one of London's best-known live entertainment organisations to find an Interim FP&A Consultant focussing primarily on financial modelling. Working across multiple distinct income streams and with an international footprint, this is a business with genuinely complex and interesting finances. This is a rare chance to build the financial tooling a high-profile organisation runs on, working directly alongside its senior finance leader.

The Role

This is an interim engagement of around four to six months, working closely alongside the organisation's senior finance leader rather than reporting into a large team.

The brief is specific: build an integrated three-statement model and rebuild and document a batch of the organisation's financial models so that the knowledge currently held by one person is embedded in the tooling itself. You will take the assumptions and business knowledge you are given and turn them into robust, well-documented models that others can read, run and update without breaking them or needing a full rebuild. You will also work closely on their Access Financials system to ensure clean output of data and integration into reports. This is a hands-on, build-focused role for someone who works collaboratively and hands over cleanly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build an integrated three-statement model (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow)
  • Rebuild and redraft a batch of core financial models so they are robust, granular and maintainable
  • Document assumptions and logic so the models can be operated and updated by more than one person
  • Link models to reporting drawn from the organisation's finance system (Access Financials)
  • Build in enough trackable detail to isolate what drives a variance (for example day count, royalty rate or headcount) without making the models unwieldy
  • Support scenario and forecasting work across areas such as distribution-channel mix and ticket-sales volumes
  • Work alongside the senior finance leader, taking supplied assumptions and business knowledge and translating them into tooling
  • Leave dashboards and reports that the wider team can run and maintain independently

Essential Experience

  • Exceptional Excel financial modelling, with a track record of building robust, maintainable and well-documented models, including integrated three-statement models
  • Experience linking models to reporting drawn from a finance system
  • Comfortable being handed business assumptions and turning them into clean tooling, without needing every detail spelled out and without building models only you can run
  • Experience in organisations of comparable size and complexity (circa £10m turnover, multiple income streams, international)
