Interim FP&A Lead / Manager
PE-backed Software / SaaS
Location: London (hybrid, 3 days)
Duration: 3-6 months
Start: ASAP
Day Rate: c. £475-£515/day inside IR35
I’m supporting a PE-backed software business with the hire of an Interim FP&A Lead / Manager to join during a period of finance transformation and systems change.
This is a hands-on role sitting in Group FP&A, working closely with finance, commercial leaders, senior management, and investors. The business needs someone who can deliver accurate reporting and forecasting today, while improving the data, processes, and controls behind the numbers.
Key areas of focus:
- Monthly reporting, management accounts, KPI packs, and Board materials
- Variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year
- Budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Building and maintaining robust 3-way models and scenario analysis
- Business partnering with commercial and operational leaders
- Revenue / ARR data clean-up, including reconciling data across Salesforce, spreadsheets, and finance systems
- Improving manual reporting processes and creating more repeatable outputs

Profile required:
- Qualified accountant, ideally ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- c.3-7 years PQE
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Solid management accounting grounding, including month-end, accruals, variance analysis, and reporting
- Experience working with large or messy datasets
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, PE-backed or investor-backed environment
- SaaS / software experience highly desirable, particularly ARR, retention, churn, or recurring revenue metrics
- Multi-entity / multi-currency experience useful
- Salesforce, Power BI, SQL, or AI/automation exposure would be beneficial
