Interim Group Consolidation Accountant 3-6 Month Contract | Cheltenham (Hybrid) | Immediate Start

We're supporting an international group based near Cheltenham in the appointment of an experienced Interim Group Consolidation Accountant. Offered on an initial 3-6 month contract, this opportunity is available on a competitive day rate (Outside IR35) and is ideally suited to someone who can make an immediate impact.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of group reporting, offering exposure to senior finance leadership and responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of monthly consolidations across a complex international business.

You'll work closely with operating businesses around the world, helping to deliver high-quality financial reporting while also supporting improvements in reporting processes and systems.

  • Managing and reviewing monthly financial submissions from international entities
  • Producing consolidated Group P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting
  • Investigating and resolving consolidation issues and reporting anomalies
  • Working closely with finance teams across multiple countries to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Supporting the ongoing development and optimisation of the Group consolidation system (TM1)
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting efficiency through automation and enhanced controls
  • Supporting reporting timetables, forecasts and planning submissions
  • Providing guidance and training to finance users across the business where required
  • Working with Internal Controls and Group Finance to strengthen reporting governance

About You

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring previous experience of working within a large international group finance environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
  • Strong experience of group consolidations and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience of consolidation systems such as TM1, Cognos or similar
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management with the confidence to work across international finance teams
  • A proactive approach with the ability to improve processes rather than simply maintain them
