This is a key role within the team taking responsibility for the collection, accuracy & integrity of the group's monthly consolidations & reporting. This position will have significant exposure to senior stakeholders in the business.

My client are a major business in Cheltenham that operate on a global scale. They have an excellent reputation both locally and throughout the South West.
Description
The key responsibilities:
- Leading on the delivery the financial reporting submissions of all Group entities in order to identify and correct any errors or omissions in order to ensure the integrity and accuracy of Group Finance reporting.
- Deliver commentary, analysis and reporting of the group results (P&L, Balance sheet and Cashflow).
- Help drive an automation culture within the Group's financial reporting via the delivery and implementation of reporting efficiencies, helping the group consolidation and reporting team use insight tools such as dashboarding and reporting customisation.
- Enhance and challenge the control environment in place, seeking to streamline and improve, whilst also managing the testing plans with Internal Controls.
- Support the team with more complex TM1 development to improve and modernise the System.
- Provide expertise and training to users to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the data gathering and reporting processes.
- Build strong relationships with the Group's local finance teams in all the operating businesses, helping to ensure accuracy of financial reporting submissions, both Actuals and Plans / Forecasts.
- Work closely with the Business FCs & Group teams to communicate timetables, support changing business/reporting needs and provide more specific training where necessary
- Improve and automate the submission and validation of financial data for any reporting window to ensure that the accuracy and quality of data is of a high standard (such as stat pack, MA etc.)

The successful candidate:
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with 4+ years PQE
- Advanced Excel User with the ability to model large data sets.
- Broad consolidation system experience
- Financial system experience covering maintenance and development.
- Experience in the reconciliation, creation and presentation of financial data.
- A flexible and collaborative approach is required, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment, the successful candidate will therefore be adept at managing competing priorities.
- A problem solver who is able to dive into the detail to answer key business questions.
Job Offer
This is a highly competitive day rate position (outside IR35). This role requires an immediate start or candidates available at short notice. This is hybrid working in Cheltenham with at least 2 days required on-site
