Contract Type: 6-month + FTC Rate: £500–£600 per day Location: London (Hybrid)
We are supporting a global, multi-entity business in London seeking an experienced Interim Senior Group Accountant to join their Group Reporting team. This high-profile role within a well-structured finance function offers exposure to international operations, complex reporting, and senior stakeholder interaction.
You will work closely with the Head of Group Reporting to ensure accurate and timely group financial reporting, including month-end and year-end processes. Ideal for a technically strong group reporting professional comfortable operating in a multi-currency environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Month-end close support – Reviewing and challenging submissions from international entities
- Consolidated financials – Assisting with income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow preparation
- Accounting consistency – Ensuring compliance with FRS102 and internal policies across the group
- Annual statutory accounts – Drafting, reviewing, and analysing disclosure notes and supporting financial fixes
- Audit process liaison – Key contact point for preparing audit schedules, addressing queries, and engaging with group and component auditors
- Financial performance analysis – Explaining movements in financial performance, working capital, and foreign exchange impacts
- Technical accounting support – Advising on revenue recognition, leases, and conducting accounting research & impact assessments
- Global finance collaboration – Enhancing quality, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting with international teams
- Finance project contributions – Supporting group accounting policy enhancements and their implementation worldwide
- Financial controls & improvements – Strengthening controls frameworks and ensuring group-wide adherence
- Process automation – Driving operational efficiencies and reporting automation
- Cross-team alignment – Collaborating with treasury, tax, and wider finance teams on key reporting decisions

Skills & Requirements
- Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CAANZ, or CA(SA) or equivalent
- Experience:
- Group reporting & statutory accounts (Indirect ownership consolidation welcomed)
- Strong understanding of FRS102 and IFRS group reporting principles
- Multi-entity, international business background
- Audit exposure and stakeholder confidence required
- Technical proficiency:
- Experience with consolidation/reporting systems (e.g., Tagetik, HFM, Cognos, OneStream) preferred
