We have an exciting opportunity for an Interim Head of Cultural Change and Engagement to join a large, complex, people-focused organisation on an interim basis.

Based in Birmingham, paying £400pd and offering hybrid working, this senior assignment will play a key role in shaping and delivering strategic engagement activity that supports cultural change, organisational transformation, and improved employee experience.

This opportunity will suit an experienced interim change, engagement, or internal communications leader who is confident operating at a senior level, working across a matrix environment, and translating people and culture priorities into clear, meaningful, and measurable engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the design and delivery of strategic engagement and communication approaches that support people and culture transformation priorities
  • Developing and embedding cultural change strategies that enable meaningful dialogue, strengthen employee engagement, and support organisational transformation
  • Acting as a strategic adviser to senior leaders on engagement, internal communications, and change messaging across a complex stakeholder landscape
  • Working closely with people, organisational development, communications, analytics, and policy teams to align engagement activity with wider transformation objectives
  • Using audience insight, feedback, and performance data to evaluate engagement interventions, shape messaging, and drive continuous improvement
  • Supporting the development of digital employee experience platforms, self-service content, and people-related communication channels
  • Championing a consistent employee experience by ensuring policies, processes, values, and engagement approaches reinforce the desired organisational culture

Experience Required

  • Extensive experience in a senior engagement, cultural change, organisational development, or internal communications role
  • A proven track record of developing and delivering multi-channel engagement or communications strategies within a complex organisation
  • Strong experience of using insight, employee voice, performance metrics, and evaluation to inform change activity and demonstrate impact
  • Confidence advising and influencing senior stakeholders, with the ability to navigate competing priorities in a politically aware environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex transformation priorities into clear and engaging messages
  • Available at short notice or immediately, with the ability to add value quickly in a temporary/interim assignment
