- Support the delivery of campaigns and educational initiatives that advance our mission of social justice and historical awareness

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a creative and reliable individual who can take ownership of the Society's design function during this period of maternity cover. This role would suit someone with a strong eye for design, an ability to work independently, and an interest in contributing to a meaningful social cause.
Above all, we are looking for someone who is motivated by the opportunity to use their skills to support a meaningful cause, and who is excited to play a key role in shaping how the Society presents itself during an important period.

What will you be doing?
As Interim Head of Design, you will lead on the Society’s visual direction and output, maintaining and developing our design work during a period of maternity cover.

Key responsibilities include
- Overseeing and maintaining the Society’s visual identity and brand consistency
- Designing high-quality materials, including
- Social media content
- Campaign visuals
- Educational resources
- Supporting key initiatives such as
- Public awareness campaigns
- Fundraising and sponsorship materials
- The Society’s longer-term projects, including a public statue and educational programme
- Ensuring continuity of design work while introducing improvements where appropriate
- Collaborating with the leadership team to align design with strategic priorities
You will be working closely with a small, committed leadership team, with significant autonomy to shape outputs and approach.
