Interim Head of Finance | FCA-Regulated FinTech | London / Hybrid

The Client

Harmonic is delighted to be partnering with a growing FinTech scale-up in the financial services space. Backed by an experienced leadership team and now trading at meaningful scale, the business is moving from its traditional finance roots toward a more product-led culture, with a finance-literate CEO driving a new phase of operational maturity. It operates in a regulated environment and is at an interesting inflection point.

The Role

Reporting into the COO (with a dotted line into the CEO), the Interim Head of Finance will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function through a period of leadership transition. This is a hands-on role first and foremost: the priority is to steady the function, keep financial control, reporting and planning running cleanly, and get up to speed quickly with a complex fee model. Alongside the operational core, you will act as the second-line owner for client money oversight and partner with the executive team on budgeting, forecasting and commercial decisions. Initially an interim appointment, there's the potential to be extended or transfer to permanent should the fit be right.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
