Interim Head of Finance & Treasury
Location: Norfolk area (Flexible - can be discuss)
Contract: Initial 3 months
Day Rate: £600-£700 per day (Depending on experience)
We are partnering with a well-established and ambitious housing association in Norfolk area seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance & Treasury to provide immediate leadership and stability.
This is a senior, hands-on role reporting to the Chief Finance and Technology Officer. You will lead the finance, procurement, and treasury functions during a period of strategic importance, ensuring robust financial governance, treasury management, and support for the organisation's growth and value-for-money objectives.
About the Role
As Interim Head of Finance & Treasury, you will act as a key member of the senior finance leadership team. You will oversee financial strategy, treasury operations, financial planning & reporting, and regulatory compliance while deputising for the CFTO as required. This is a visible role with significant stakeholder exposure (Board, auditors, funders, and regulators).

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and commercial insight to the Executive Team and Board.
- Lead treasury management, including liquidity, cashflow forecasting, funding arrangements, and lender/investor relationships.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and accurate statutory & regulatory reporting.
- Ensure strong regulatory compliance and governance (RSH, FRS 102, etc.).
- Manage and develop the finance, procurement, and treasury team.
- Drive value for money initiatives and support strategic decision-making.
- Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including auditors, funders, and pension providers.

Requirements
- Housing association / social housing sector experience (essential).
- Previous experience operating at Head of Finance / equivalent senior level.
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Strong background in treasury management, financial strategy, and regulated environments.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a multi-functional finance team.
- Immediate or very short notice availability.
Desirable
- Experience of organisational change programmes.
- Treasury-specific qualifications or deep funding/lending expertise.
