Job Title
Our client is a large, complex and purpose-driven organisation operating across multiple legal entities based on the outskirts of Lincoln, with 2 days office based. Due to an internal secondment, they are seeking an accomplished finance leader to join the organisation on a 9-12 month fixed-term contract, providing critical leadership during an important period for the finance function.
Reporting Structure
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a highly visible leadership role at the heart of the organisation's finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of group financial reporting, statutory accounts, financial governance and the successful delivery of the year-end audit.
- Lead an established team of finance professionals responsible for the organisation's accounting operations.
- Provide direction and support to your team, ensuring the smooth delivery of month-end reporting, statutory accounts, balance sheet integrity and financial controls.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
- Oversee complex group consolidations across multiple legal entities.
- Lead relationships with external auditors and regulators.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver accurate, insightful financial reporting.
- Provide financial leadership to a commercial subsidiary, partnering with operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting and business performance.
- Oversee financial reporting for joint venture partnerships.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Significant experience gained within a complex, multi-entity environment.
- Track record of leading statutory reporting and year-end processes.
- Experience managing external audits and delivering group consolidations to the highest standard.
- Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP (FRS102).
- Ability to build credibility quickly and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
- Engaging and supportive leader with experience managing and developing finance teams.
- Naturally collaborative, commercially aware and proactive.
- Confidence to challenge constructively, improve processes and maintain exceptionally high standards in a fast-paced environment.
